Here's a picture from yesterday's I.V. training. In this pic, I'm just about to put a needle in SSG Macias's arm. SSG Macias, who is one of my NCOs, turned around and stuck me afterwards.
Each of us missed the vein on the first time and had to go for a second try.
We finished up class today and now I get to carry around a 10 lb. bag of bandages, splints, and IV kits just in case someone gets hurt. 6 of the 12 people on my team have this training now, more than any other section in the company.
you know the deal by now... "I hope this is training I never have to put to use."
