This was Hunter's first Halloween out. Sarema didn't take him out last year because he was too young.
This year we went out to a local church that put on a Halloween fair for hundreds of kids. Hunter was wearing the cutest costume in the whole place: a dragon costume that my Mom FedEx'd to us just in time.
The whole family had a great time.

Just got back from a week-long conference in San Francisco. I learned a lot about new Oracle features that I missed out on while deployed for the last couple years. I spent almost all my time in breakout sessions learning the new latest and greatest stuff.

The conference also sponsored an "appreciation night" where Joan Jett, Elton John, Berlin, and Devo played. Of course, the Devo concert was a big hit with the conference attendees... most of whom were big time nerds.

Pimp your "ride"

Internet Explorer sucks. It's buggy, it lacks tabbed browsing, and you can't cutomize the search engines easily. I've been using Firefox as my default Windoze browser for about a year now and I just switched over to firefox on my macs, too.
If this video doesn't convince you to switch, nothing will. I laughed my ass off when I saw it...

Judge Jim

Jim, my room-mate for most of the deployment to Kuwait, got selected by Gov. Schwarzenegger to be the next superior court judge in Sacramento county. Although he wants to preside over corporate law cases, I'd like him to preside over traffic court; that way I can speed through Sacramento with impunity!
